Love your videos Jason, but how is the Ketogenic diet different from the
Atkins diet? Not the latest crap they’ve been pushing over the last 10
years with their fake, processed, and packaged meals, candy bars, and
shakes, but the original Atkins diet. I started the Atkins diet back in
2002 before Dr. Atkins died and someone took over his business and changed
his perfect diet and turned it into the bullshit it is today.

The first week was horrible, but like magic it all went away. My cravings
for pasta, bread, french fries, and pizza vanished 🙂 I ate lots of meat
including steak, pork chops, chicken, and fish. I would eat a pound of
bacon on the weekends and sometimes bring some to work. I ate eggs, cheese,
pork rinds, big salads with tons of ranch, and I would put butter on
everything. I would eat green beans or squash with my dinner meal and that
was about all the veggies I ate. I never counted calories or fat. I would
eat 300 grams of fat in a day sometimes and people thought I was crazy, but
the more fat I ate, the more weight I lost. I drank lots of water and drank
coffee sometimes and I lost 50lbs in about 6 months. I didn’t even work
out. I kept the weight off for about 18 months and had to stop Atkins when
I got pregnant. The current Atkins diet says to eat less meat and your
carbs should come only from veggies, some fruit, and of course all of their
overpriced packaged fake processed food.

After I had my baby and stopped breast feeding I wanted to start Atkins
again and was surprised at how it had changed and how many cookies,
packaged pizza and pasta meals they had, and of course the terrible bars
and shakes they started making. I couldn’t believe how expensive this crap
was and I couldn’t lose the weight like before by eating this junk. I tried
the “new” Atkins diet and lost weight, but it took twice as long to lose
25lbs and I felt gross.Here I am now 40 years old with two boys, 11 and 8
years old, I’ve gotten fat again, and now I drink more alcohol than I used
to thanks to stress and Sunday gatherings with the in-laws and football
games 🙁 I used to have the book, but loaned it out to someone that never
returned it and found myself looking on youtube for someone that could
remind me of the old school Atkins because all of the books now are the
updated versions and I couldn’t remember which one I bought back in 2002. I
stumbled across your site and have watched a few of your videos and
immediately remembered what it was I had to do. But was just curious in the
difference of Keto vs the original Atkins because it seems exactly the
same, even the way the book described the science of the diet, except there
was a 4oz daily cheese limit on Atkins. Thank you Jason for refreshing my
memory whether it be Keto or Atkins. I’ll keep watching your videos for
motivation. Just trying to figure out how I can break the alcohol habit now

Hi Jason, your video was nice really. But what happens when we go off keto
diet. Does the weight regain? Or how should we go off keto diet and still
remain in the same shape maybe regain just a little bit of fat??

Everything with modulation man! God created the carbohydrates for a reason.
The problem isn’t with carbohydrates, it is with us. People consume way to

I’ve been on this a week and have gained 4 lbs. everything I eat is
organic, grass fed, raw cheese, ghee. Drank some dieters tea but it hasn’t
helped. Love salt, haven’t skimped on that. Doing almond and macadamia milk
in my coffee. What am I doing wrong? :((
